Our story
Built by the people who kept hitting the same wall.
Founded in 2021 in Davidson, North Carolina, GatherWare was created by co-founders Nicolas Bracco and Owen Bezick to address the limitations of traditional master planning approaches within healthcare.
Master plans were arriving as static decks and spreadsheets that were out of date before the ink dried. Orion started as the answer to a simple question: what if the plan were a living system your whole organization could work from?
2021
GatherWare founded
Nicolas Bracco and Owen Bezick start the company in Davidson, North Carolina.
December 2025
Partnership with Synergy Consulting Engineers
GatherWare and Synergy Consulting Engineers begin building Orion's Infrastructure module together.
July 2026
Orion V3.0 ships
A full redesign of the platform, plus the new Infrastructure module.

With over 25 years of experience in healthcare consulting, Nicolas brings a deep understanding of the industry's challenges and opportunities, and two decades spent translating strategic clinical goals into facility master plans.
Owen Bezick
Product
Owen's background in data analytics and software development drives the company's focus on cutting-edge technology, and the engineering behind the Orion platform.
Hans Nelson
Infrastructure
Hans founded Synergy Consulting Engineers in 2005 and has spent two decades leading MEP and infrastructure engineering for healthcare facilities across the country. A licensed PE in seven states, he brought that expertise to Orion's Infrastructure module.
Koty Nelson
Operations
Koty has been with Synergy Consulting Engineers since 2014, growing from BIM and commissioning work into leading its finance and data operations. He holds an MBA from the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business.
